Castle: The Blue Butterfly

Here’s what I’ve been doing for a large chunk of the day: a Dick Tracey style illustration of Richard Castle as P.I. Joe Flynn from the Castle episode ‘The Blue Butterfly’

This is why I should NOT do ‘warm-up’ sketches – what started off as a harmless doodle ended up consuming most of my day…

-sigh-

I’m pleased with it though (aside from the stupid ‘S’ in Castle that went wrong) and it was a brilliant episode, worth watching just to hear Stana Katic say: ‘You’re the cream in my coffee’

…humnumanama *__*

Hello, just wanted to tell you you make amazing illustrations! What program do you use for them!
    Congratulations!

      Thanks J!

I just use a very old copy of photoshop (CS2 I believe) and that’s it as far as computer programs go – the rest is all pencils, inks and paper, blood, sweat and tears (although not literally on the last three of course!)

      Thanks for the comment,

      Chris
